'Today we are doing a science activity by making exploding pumpkin volcanoes! This is great for older kids who would understand the chemical reaction happening as well as for preschoolers! Fun for the entire family! It quickly became one of our favorite activities to do with the kids! Henry helped scoop baking soda into the pumpkins and pour the vinegar in to make it explode! This was his first time doing this activity and his listening skills were great and he followed direction like a champ! What you will need: one or several pumpkins hollow baking soda vinegar cups to have them pour the vinegar food coloring ( optional ) towel to clean any spills Scoop some baking soda inside the pumpkins, drop some food coloring on top, and pour the vinegar to make the explosion! A fun activity to do with kids of all ages! Have fun! *Remember to always adjust activities to your children’s needs. Henry will be three in December but that does not mean this activity is measured by age or limited to children with special needs. Our kids are our future and with patience and a lot of coffee we can help them achieve the unimaginable. Happy crafting – Ariana'
